One to One Workshop
One to one workshops are a time to focus on a choice of any area of floral design. They are designed to be a creative, relaxing & fulfilling time where you can fully immerse yourself fully in flowers and their inherent beauty.
They are a chance to explore new experiences and learn tested techniques under expert guidance.
Wherever possible I use seasonal British and locally sourced and grown flowers. I also teach foam free techniques and hope to inspire you to continue further exploration on your own at home or perhaps at another workshop.
One to one workshops can last from two & a half hours up to full days depending on what is covered.
A two & a half hour workshop is a great starting point! Examples of options covered in this time are: Floral Table Bowl Arrangements, Small Urn Flowers, Bud flowers for tablescapes: all are suitable for adding to a table for a special meal or celebration. Hand tied bouquets or posies, wiring flowers and flower crowns, small scale installations suitable for a special event or creating a seasonal indoor or outdoor wreath.
Our workshops take place in our dedicated workshop space at our floral design studio in Staffordshire. The full address is: Myrtle Fox & Maude, Bath Lane Studios, 4a, Bath Lane, Hixon, Staffordshire, ST18 0FG.
You will have a palette of beautiful flowers usually sourced locally and providing an abundance of colour, texture, form and sometimes scent too. You can request a particular palette or style of flowers to work with or I can choose for you. You will have plenty of choice and always plenty to take home with you.
You will be guided and given time & space to experiment with the flowers always in the peaceful surroundings of our workshop and store.
The cost of a private two and a half hour One to One starts at £100. For half day tuition (4 hours) prices start at £150. This includes provision of all flowers and materials. Light refreshments are included and you are welcome to bring your own lunch for short courses.
